We'll be back on Tuesday 29th March with CD Jr Take Away opening for Lunch from 12pm and the restaurant opening for Dinner from 5.30pm. The silly season is upon us so we wanted to let you know the trading hours for our venues over the Christmas & New Year period.
Charlie Dumpling (184 High St) & Charlie Dumpling Jr (212 High St) will be closed from Thursday 24th December to Monday 11th January. We'll be open for Dinner on Wednesday 23rd December for your final dumpling fix before Christmas and then we'll be back for Take Away Lunch & Dinner and for Dinner at the restaurant on Tuesday 12th January.
Bā Charlie (212 High St) will be closed from Sunday 20th December to Thursday 7th January. Bā Charlie will be open as usual on Saturday 19th December and then we'll be back from 5.30pm for Happy Hour on Friday 8th January.

Similar to Italians that are overly sensitive about pineapple on pizza, dumpling traditionalists will scream 'bloody murder' at the prospect of Westerners messing with their beloved dish. The 1st of June. WINTER !!! How did this come around so quickly? Luckily Bā Charlie's WINE OF THE MONTH will warm you up - introducing 2013 Tongue in Groove Pinot Noir from Marlborough, New Zealand. This wine has a beautiful vibrant red colour in the glass with flavors of red cherries, earthy forest, and lots of spices! It’s a slightly heavier Pinot Noir, but very well balanced with a nice grippy tannin finish on the palate. It’s a well-structured wine with beautiful forest berry notes that jump out of the glass. With the high demand on the flagship restaurant, Charlie Dumpling has taken over premises a few doors away at 212 High Street which previously housed Vin Cellar. This new locale will mean that we can give our customers a full lunch and dinner take away option. A online ordering process will be available in the coming weeks as well.

Dumplings are sure to capture the imagination of all Melbournians this week, as Charlie Dumpling opens its doors in Prahran this Australia Day weekend. “Everyone loves dumplings” says Executive Chef, Dylan Roberts. “Charlie Dumpling will offer guests dumpling favourites such as Steamed Pork Dumplings and Prawn Har Gow as well as edgy additions such as Snapper, chilli, lime and blackbean dumplings and my personal favourite Charlie’s Peking Duck dumpling”.
